The Blue Sky Diesel Exhaust Fluid calculator allows you to measure the number of gallons of DEF consumed annually, for both on-road and off-road vehicles, in order to maintain environmentally responsible emissions. Most DEF tanks require one gallon of DEF for every 50 gallons of diesel fuel, and one gallon will generally last between 300 to 500 miles. It is important not to allow the DEF tote to become completely empty. It should be refilled when 2-3 inches of DEF remains in the tote. Calculating DEF consumption not only allows you to maintain high fuel efficiency and protect vehicle SCR systems from running out of DEF, it also ensures overall cost-effectiveness for your business.
When using our DEF usage calculator, please keep in mind that DEF usage rates vary somewhat from one original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to another. For additional questions, contact your Blue Sky distributor, or use the convenient online contact form found on our website.
